The new Imperial will also have two motor options: a single motor for rear-wheel drive and a dual motor for all-wheel drive. The power output and performance figures have yet to be revealed. Still, we expect them to be competitive with other luxury electric vehicles.
Design: Exterior and Interior
The 2025 Chrysler Imperial will have a distinctive, elegant exterior design, blending classic cues with modern elements. The front end will feature a prominent grille with vertical bars and winged badges flanked by slim LED headlights and turn signals. The side profile will have a smooth and aerodynamic shape, with a sloping roofline that merges into a large liftback tailgate. The rear end will have LED taillights that span across the width of the car, as well as a chrome strip and an Imperial script.
The new Imperial will be a large vehicle, measuring about 213 inches long, similar to the Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It will also have an adjustable air suspension that can raise or lower the ride height depending on the driving mode and conditions.
The interior of the new Imperial will be spacious and luxurious, offering seating for five or six passengers, depending on the configuration. Buyers can opt for a three-piece front bench seat or a center console, allowing them to have two or three seats in the front row. The second row will have ample legroom, headroom, and reclining and folding seats.
The interior will also feature high-quality materials, such as leather, wood, and metal, and advanced technology, such as digital screens, cloud connectivity, and wireless charging. The dashboard will have an extensive touchscreen infotainment system that can control various car functions and display navigation, entertainment, and driver assistance features. The steering wheel will have buttons and paddles to access different modes and settings easily.
The new Imperial will also have a panoramic sunroof that can let in natural light and fresh air and ambient lighting that can create different moods and atmospheres. When the back seats are folded down, the trunk’s ample load space may be increased.
Powertrain
The 2025 Chrysler Imperial will be powered by an electric powertrain that consists of one or two electric motors and one or two battery packs. The standard battery pack will have a capacity of about 80 kWh. The long-range battery pack will have a capacity of about 118 kWh.
The standard battery pack will provide a range of up to 300 miles on a single charge, while the long-range battery pack will provide a range of up to 400 miles on a single charge. Both battery packs will support fast charging via either 400- or 800-volt systems, allowing them to replenish up to 80% of their capacity in less than an hour.
The single-motor option will deliver rear-wheel drive performance. In contrast, the dual motor option will provide all-wheel drive performance. The power output and torque figures have yet to be disclosed. Still, we expect them to be 400 to 600 horsepower and 500 to 800 pound-feet, respectively.
The new Imperial will also have an intelligent and adaptive driving system that adjusts the power delivery, suspension, steering, and braking according to the driving mode, road conditions, and driver preferences. The driving modes will include Eco, Normal, Sport and Custom.
Release Date and Price
Early in 2025, the 2025 Chrysler Imperial will be on sale following its late 2024 unveiling. The pricing has not been announced yet, but we estimate it will start from around $55,000 for the base model and go up to approximately $80,000 for the top-of-the-line model.
The new Imperial will compete with other luxury electric vehicles, such as the Tesla Model S, the Lucid Air, the Mercedes-Benz EQS, and the Audi e-tron GT. It will also attract buyers looking for a spacious, comfortable, and elegant electric vehicle that can offer a long-range and smooth ride.
